to go to the Luchrone garden…
… after the Basilica, the best is to take the Boulevard Dieu Lumière
Cities evolve, since 1989 the Luchrone of Reims, alias “La Coquille” has moved several times.
The garden near the canal is conducive to meditation. It is the new place chosen after the referendum. For my part, I don’t miss the noisy crossroads of Place de la République.

Programming with gloves slows down the input; it’s a change from the workshop. But the joy of success is at the end.
I’m testing “homemade” LEDs. The achievement is bold. The 324 light sources are made by hand. You had to think of it: commercial LED strips are rolled up and glued to a tube with an E27 base at the end. Here is a revolutionary, economical and very solid lamp.
Obliged to get ahead of the manufacturers: Mr. Muller and his fellow teachers at the Saint Jean-Baptiste de la Salle high school have innovated. No LEDs that fit yet? No problem, we create some. As a result, the light of the Coquille de Reims is “handmade”. An authentic work of art.
Urban sculptures must withstand wind, rain, cold and … deterioration. Of the four bad weather conditions, the last one is the most constant. The usual smart alecks threw stones to check that glass breaks. But we can see that the plastic of the “made SJBS” lamps holds up better than commercial bulbs.
